Night of the Champions - July 16, 2008

Night of the Champions marks the end of football summer camp, but the beginning of a new season. The boys gave it their all in each competition and quite a few school records were broken this year. I predict a great season ahead of us.
Check out these muscles hard at work. I love the facial expressions, not only of the player lifting, but the ones cheering him on as well.

Day at The Greens - July 6, 2008

Today, we had our "Day at the Greens" event. It was a gorgeous day (okay, it was hot, hot, hot out there!) but the boys enjoyed putting and we had a great barbecue with lots of delicious side dishes and yummy sweets at our bake sale.

Special thanks to the men who withstood the heat to run the barbecue and the ladies for their tasty side dishes and hard work serving everyone.

Hey, Rodrigo. We thought this was a putting green?

Andrew took full advantage of his "handicap."

Don't tell anyone I caught the bag of charcoal on fire and had to throw it in the pond.
Hey, kid. Leave those polliwogs alone!
What? Polliwogs? Where?

Manning the range.
Bake sale.

Future Tiger Woods.

For!

Where's my ball?

I still can't find my ball.

Is this what they mean when they say "birdie"?
It must be, because that's not an eagle.

Look at that break.

In the bunker!

We've got spirit, yes we do . . .

Me! Me! Take my picture!
Hey, paparazzi!

It's a bird, it's a plane . . .
Let us bow our heads - and pray for a hole in one.

Bowl-a-thon - June 28, 2008

On June 28, the Golden Valley High School Varsity, JV and Frosh football teams tested their bowling skills while raising an awesome $4,000 for the football program.

As you can see, everyone had a great time
